An approach to the solution of pattern recognition problems

An approach is presented to the solution of the problem of recognizing that an object belongs to one of a specified class of objects, which in the general case reduces to the selection, from an inconsistent system for linear homogeneous inequalities, of the consistent subsystems that are maximal in respect of the number of inequalities.
