The Beltrami-Michell Compatibility Equations in General Tensor Form Obtained From Saint-Venant's Compatibility Equations
The author has shown how the most general from (14) of the Beltrami-Michell compatibility equations can be obtained from the equations of equilibrium for an elastic solid (Lame's equations). Here he shows how the same result can be attained by starting from the compatibility equations in terms of strians (Saint-Venant's compatibility equations).
