Computations of Rayleigh waves in anisotropic elastic media and impedance

An algorithm of the computation of Rayleigh waves in layered anisotropic elastic media with arbitrary position of boundary plane and arbitrary direction of propagation is considered in the paper. By using translation operators the problem is reduced to the construction of an impedance operator for a homogeneous anisotropic half space and construction with its help the Rayleigh waves in the half space. Computations of velocities of Rayleigh waves and their polarization for different anisotropic media are given for the case of homogeneous half space at the end of the paper.
