              			It is shown that solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations for the inhomogeneous arbitrary spin $XXX$ or $XXZ$ model satisfy certain identites which generalize those, recently obtained by K. Fabricius and B. M. McCoy, for solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations for the six-vertex model.
