Managing Uncertainty in the Construction Industry Through the Rough Set Theory

Application of the rough sets theory in the construction industry is shown. Rough sets are introduced owing to the imprecision and vagueness which are present in construction production systems. It is demonstrated that the rough set theory is a very effective methodology for data analysis in the attribute-value based domain. The presentation is supported by examples.
