Symbolic Derivation Without Using Expression Trees

In this paper we describe a symbolic derivation method which uses no expression trees. The symbolic derivative is done directly from the reverse Polish notation of the input formula and the reverse Polish notation of its derivative. A transition from the reverse Polish notation of a given formula to the reverse Polish of its derivative is described.
