To intensify the development of oil and gas fields, to enhance their technical and economic parameters in order to maximize product extraction from old oil and gas deposits, it is necessary to conduct comprehensive research using mathematical tools. As an example of such a mathematical tool there is a triad - "mathematical models, numerical algorithms and software" related to solving of problems and to conduct computational experiments with different input technological parameters of the object of study. This paper considers mathematical model, conservative numerical algorithms and software for computational experiments based on the basic laws of hydrodynamics. Created mathematical and software serves the purpose of research, forecasting and decision-making on designing and development of oil and gas fields. Also the paper presents the results of computational experiments with unsteady filtration of fluids in porous media.
Keywords: computer modeling, numerical method, computational experiment, porous media, fluid, software.
