The problem of the onset thermal explosion in the peat-soil as affected by time-periodic ambient temperature variations with chemical reactions has been investigated. The main purpose of the investigation was to examine the degree of the influence of annual and daily temperature fluctuations on the occurrence of thermal explosion.
