The paper presents the computational technology that implements problems of the linear theory of elasticity in cylindrical coordinates. Special attention is paid to the area of contact between two bodies. To disclosure it, it is proposed to use difference grids with an exponential position of nodes on each of the three coordinate directions. According to the calculations, the affect of a squeezing element generates breakdown zones in the distribution of the circular shift component on the cylinder surface.
