A specialized multifunctional Gradient CAD-CAEsystem which is intended, in particular, for numerical simulation of temperature fields of promising design elements of communication satellites is developed. In the process of creation of a design-assembly scheme of the spacecraft, the database of design elements and their physical properties is used. For a given geometric model of the spacecraft and its physical parameters, the calculation is carried out for multi-dimensional unsteady temperature fields and steady-state temperature of structural elements and the spacecraft as a whole with allowance for external heat flows at specified intervals and on a given orbit.
