An electrical systems imitational model of a caterpillar mining excavator designed for an EKG-18R shovel operator training simulator is presented. The equations system for process modelling, occurring in the direct and alternating current circuit, is described. The system solution methods, including cases of possible structural degeneracy are suggested. The method optimization of similar real-time calculated equations system solution is considered. The principles of interaction between an electric excavator and other related models are compared as well as those of an integrated training simulator operator EKG-18R are presented. The verification of the mathematical model based on experimental data obtained on a real excavator is presented. Refs 8. Figs 4.
Keywords: real time numerical simulation, electrical systems imitational model, structurally degenerate algebraic equations system decision.
