The article describes the experience of conducting a demonstration exam for students of pedagogical universities on the example of two disciplines - methods of teaching mathematics and methods of teaching physics. The authors emphasize the importance of this form of examination to demonstrate to the student the possibility of solving practical problems as close as possible to the real conditions of future employment.
