To study the capture and retention of frequency of self-oscillatory system in discrete time it is proposed to use the method of slowly varying amplitudes. SVA method used in the analog area is extended to discrete systems. Examples of calculations of dynamic amplitude and phase characteristics of the oscillations of the discrete Van der Pol oscillator forced by a harmonic signal are given.
Keywords: self-oscillatory system, discrete time, locking, slow-changing amplitudes method.
