Contemporary condition of physical development of children and teenagers of Samara city

During the period from 1978 to 2008 a study of anthropometric parameters of 4627 children and teenagers of Samara city in the age from 7 to 17 years was conducted. The results of the research revealed the deterioration of physical development of contemporary children, that becomes apparent in the decrease of body length and mass, especially youths. For certain the amount of schoolchildren with disharmonic parameters of physical development have increased. Detailed statistical processing did not discover any more established distinctions in the most significant characteristics of physical development of children of the Samara city.
