Extension of a piecewise uniform composite rod

An exact analytical solution of the problem of stretching an infinitely long continuous round cylinder and an inextricably linked with it external hollow round cylinder, i.e., a composite rod, the component parts of which are made of elastic materials with different mechanical characteristics is obtained. In the development of the solution method, the previously proposed by the author approach to the problems of plane stress state in the spatial formulation, allowing in this case integrate the equilibrium equations in the finite form is used. Some information about the distribution of displacements and stresses in the rod is given.
