Ejection of a liquid from a vessel by a plane wall jet

The process of ejecting a liquid from a finite-sized vessel with an inclined wall is studied using a submerged wall jet. The nature of the fluid flow arising in the vessel and the intensity of fluid removal for various values of the jet velocity and its thickness are studied numerically. For the verification of the numerical method, a series of experimental studies are carried out. The possibility of multiple formation of vortex regions in the liquid, including gas inclusions at their centers, at the last stages of ejection is established. The time dependences of complete emptying of the vessel on the speed and thickness of jets are found.
