Based on hydroelectromagnetic vortex flows of different types, several model approaches to the theoretical explanation of the observed light earthquake precursors in the form of luminous planar layers, cylindrical pillars, unusual lightnings, and ground hemispheres are considered. The role of giant combinational scattering effect on submicron aerosol particles is stressed for the visualization of such vortex flows occurring along lithospheric fractures in the preparation phase of large earthquakes due to a sharp increase of deep degassing.
