Joint approximations of the square root, logarithm, and arcsine functions

Hermite–Pade approximations are constructed for three functions: the square root, logarithm, and arcsine. The Rodrigues formula is presented. An estimate of the measure of linear independence for values of these functions at natural points is obtained.
