Stability of stationary motions of mechanical systems in resisting media

We give a sufficient condition for the stability of stationary motions of some mechanical systems with quasi-cyclic coordinates. The system is affected by potential and dissipative forces and by some additional constant forces compensating the dissipative forces along the direction of the stationary motion.
