On the problem of punching on obstacle

The paper deals with forcing a plug out of a rigid-plastic obstacle (plate) by a bullet. The bullets are considered to be rigid, rigid-plastic or elastic. The one-dimensional variant of this problem has been solved in the paper of A. Ya. Sagomonyan “The problem of punching an obstacle by a cylinder bullet” (Vest. Mosk. Univ., № 5, 1977). In that paper the deformation was considered small in comparison with 1. Here we remove this restriction and find an analytic solution defining the process of forcing the plug out of an obstacle.
