Basing on experiences study of magnetic field formation in celestial bodies we discuss relation between numerical and analytical approaches in complicated scientific problems. As instructive examples, we consider phenomenon of intermittency in instabilities in random media as well as free decay of magnetized turbulence. The discussion is concentrated on investigations preformed in the Moscow university.
Keywords: magnetic fields; dynamo; direct numerical simulations; analytical approach; supercomputer.
