Some advantages of linear programming techniques used to calculate the equilibrium composition of heterogeneous thermodynamic systems with mixtures are discussed. A computer program for the calculation of equilibrium composition coupled with a database on thermodynamic properties of substances is developed. A number of numerical results are presented.
