The problems associated with numerical implementation of the Lagrangian approach to the simulation of gas -particle flows on unstructured meshes are considered. The implementations of several algorithms for the localization of a particle and for the search of the unstructured mesh control volume where the particle is situated at the current time instant are discussed. The performance evaluation of some algorithms is analyzed.
