In this paper, we investigate the propagation of short optical pulses in induced lattices moving at the speed of light and created by laser pulses in a nonlinear medium with dispersion. We show that the reorganization of the refractive index modulation depth can lead to the splitting of the signal into several subpulses and also its locking between two cells of the lattice. We also analyze the propagation of signal pulses of various shapes and the spectra of pulses passing along the lattice. The obtained results can be used in the development of new optical switching devices.
