The choice of appropriate processing algorithm and its optimal parameters is one of the common problem in building image-processing systems. The article presents the technique of efficiency comparison of image-processing algorithms on the example of old-printed texts images clearing. Individual sub-cleaning process problems, their possible solutions and advantages and disadvantages of each method have been analyzed. The dependency of image-processing quality on certain algorithm certain parameters has been examined.
