The effect of photodetector dead time in the study of intensity correlation functions for pulsed radiation

The paper deals with the effect of photodetector dead time in the measurement of intensity correlation functions (ICF) for pulsed radiation in the photon-counting regime. Theoretically and experimentally, it is shown that the effect leads to a considerable narrowing of the measured intensity correlation function.
