Internal rotation of fragments of polyetherimides' macromolecules has been studied by the FTIR spectroscopic method of conformational probes. Based on analysis of absorption bands contours, the estimation of local mobility of CH$_3$ and CF$_3$ groups in these polymers was carried out. The types of local mobility of different fragments in polyetherimides have been determined.
