Структурные особенности ДНК в щелочной среде

A specific mechanism of deprotonization of DNA nitrogen bases in alkaline media (pH>7.0) has been suggested. It has been shown that at pH>10.3 deprotonization of nitrogen bases in GC-rich helical regions can take place. It has been estimated that the character of DNA helix-coil transition temperature and interval dependences on pH is due to deprotonization selectivity of nitrogen bases only.
