The paper considers a limit behavior of a random number of independent identically distributed random variables taking values in a locally compact group $G$. In the paper the analogue of the Fahim–Gnedenko transfer theorem is proved and the inverse problem is analyzed. Analogue of these theorems are studies for some special classes of groups.
