The Distribution of the Number of Defective Items in Manufactured Lots

The distribution of the number of defective articles in lots is derived from an analysis of the reason why the defects appeared. A method is given for evaluating the average output quality of the production after reception on the basis of the first two moments of the distribution of the number of defective articles in the lots.
