In §1, the introduction, special attention is paid to the deterministic point of view. In §2 the generation and testing of pseudo-random numbers on the computer “Strela” (with a floating decimal point) is described. The tests used are similar to those in [6] and, perhaps, more stringent. The mean length of cycles occurring in any pseudo-random sequence is evaluated by [6].
