Hamiltonian formalism in the~presence of higher derivatives

We briefly review basic formulas of the Hamiltonian formalism in classical mechanics in the case where the Lagrangian contains $N$ time derivatives of $n$ coordinate variables. For nonlocal models, $N=\infty$.
