Canonical analysis and quantization of three dimensional topologically massive gravity

Constrained canonical formulation of three dimensional topologically massive gravity is constructed. All constraints and their algebra are found explicitly. The pure Chern–Simons gravity is discussed. The local measure in the functional integral is calculated and its role in cancellation of volume divergences is traced.
