Anomalies of the vector and axial-vector currents that lead to nonconservation of the number of real fermions are considered in the framework of the left-right-symmetric model of electroweak interaction. It is shown that at high fermion densities the system undergoes a phase transition of the first kind, which is accompanied by a growth in the condensate amplitude of the gauge fields and a significant decrease in the density of real fermions.
