A perturbation-theory series is constructed for the determination of the energy levels of a relativistic atom in the Rayleigh–Schrödinger form. Reduction formulas are obtained for the amplitudes of various processes in relativistic atomic theory. The method is used to find the corrections for the many-electron interaction to the energy levels of a two-electron
multiply charged ion.
