              			The possibility of self-consistent description of the meson masses of the vector and pseudoscalar nonets in the framework of a quark model of superconducting type (quark loop model) is demonstrated. The effects associated with $\varphi\leftrightarrow A$ transitions are taken into account. They play an important part in determining the constituent quark masses, which are basic parameters of the model.
