Influence of the break in the differential cross section on the profile function

The structure in the elastic scattering amplitude due to the influence of the break in the differential cross section is studied as a function of the impact parameter. Exact and approximate expressions are obtained for the correction term. Numerical calculations have been made for $pp$ interactions at 1500 GeV.
