Kinetic equations are obtained for a multiatomic gas that agree with the conservation taws for the mass. momentum, energy, and angular momentum when allowance is made for the first virial correction in the energy density, the stress tensor, and the energy and angular momentum fluxes. In the single-temperature approximation, the equations of gas dynamics are derived, and a local-equilibrium solution to the kinetic equation is obtained for vanishing density of the internal angular momentum of the molecules.
