It is shown that the formula for calculating the loss of energy by the matter due to the radiation of gravitational waves derived usually by various methods is not implied by the general relativity theory. Einstein theory has introduced a field of the new type described by the curvature tensor and the change of energy of the matter is not directly connected with the radiation of curvature waves in this theory. Thus in the general relativity theory there is no possibility of studying the spatial distribution of the intensity of gravitational waves, calculating the energy flux of gravitational waves and making other energetical calculations.
