Dynamics of interaction of freely moving two-level atom with a single mode of resonant light field is considered. If not only the internal coordinates of the atom but also the coordinates of its translational motion and the field are quantized, then this enables us to satisfy both the law of energy conservation and the law of momentum conservation of the system “atom+field”.
