              			A general twisting free type II solution is found to the Einstein equations with radiation
described by the energy-momentum tensor $8\pi T_{\mu\nu}=\Phi l_\mu l_\nu$ 
($l_\mu l^\mu=0$, $l_\mu$ is the principal null direction of the Weyl tensor). The solution contains one arbitrary function of three variables. The possibility of using the above 
energy-momentum tensor to describe highfrequency radiation is discussed.
