Variational principle for three-particle systems

Variational principles are formulated that enable one to find the matrix elements of the three- particle S matrix corresponding to the processes $(2\to3)$, $(3\to2)$, $(3\to3)$. These principles are similar to Kohn's variational principle for a two-particle system.
