We describe a quick and a simple method for obtaining the asymptotes of the curve $F(x,y)=0$, where $F(x,y)$ is a polynomial in $x$ and $y$, with emphasis on second order polynomials. Using this method we obtain a simple classification of second order curves.
Classification : 00A35
Keywords: Asymptotes, curves, second order curves.
