Investigation of an algorithm for finding structural difference of images

We consider a technique for the construction of brightness distribution of a resulting image for the algorithm of finding structural differences based on a morphological image projector in the case when input images are disturbed by an additive noise. An optimal threshold formula is derived, and estimates for errors of the first and second kind are found for the algorithm. The results of applying the technique are presented and compared with the results of a numerical experiment.
