Since 1995, Yekaterinburg hosts the triennial conference on ill-posed and inverse problems dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Russian scientist, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR V. K. Ivanov. The previous conference was held in 2008 and was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of V. K. Ivanov. The 6th conference was held from October 31 to November 5, 2011. The paper presents a review of this conference.
