The paper is devoted to calculating the probabilities of the events dangerous failure and missing a marker (false negative) resulting from data transmission errors in a point-locomotive communication channel of a radio-based automatic train signalling system (under the assumption of absence of hardware errors).
Keywords: error-correcting codes, error detection and correction, Bose–Chaudhuri–Hocquenghem (BCH) code, cyclic redundancy check (CRC), automatic train signalling (ALSN).
