The article is in a sense overview of the results of the study of optimal management problems in the class of discrete control influences, in particular, together with other authors, and begun under the leadership of R. Gabasov and F.M. Kirillova. The conditions for the optimality of discrete control influences, including special controls for various tasks, are given.
