On the motion of an elastic body on a smooth plane

A problem on the motion of an elastic body on a smooth plane is considered. Mathematical model, describing the elastic interaction between a body and a plane, is proposed. In the frame of this model equations of the motion are written. First integrals of these equations are investigated. Steady motions and their stability are studied. Results of this investigation are compared with analogous results in the problem on the motion of a rigid body on a smooth plane.
