The contribution deals with the solution of differential equations for the determination of thermal stresses (radial and tangential) in thin discs of variable thickness.
In general, one needs numerical calculation for the temperature as well as stresses in the treated body. A simple example of the trapezoidal profile is given, which can be used to prove the usability of the method presented.
The results are compared to previously known stress values for disks of constant thickness.
