The method of parametric approximations due to Loïtsianski in laminar two-dimensional boundary layer theory has been extended to the threedimensional laminar boundary layer equations. First, the universalisation of these equations is carried out, and then a series of solutions in terms of independent parameters, which are related to the external velocity distribution and the metric coefficients of the system of coordinates, is obtained.
